Aliyyah Giga joined the London office of Bain & Company in 2006 after gaining a degree in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics from Worcester College, Oxford.
Aliyyah has most recently been on externship with the Private Equity Foundation, a venture philanthropy organization with whom Bain has a results partnership. At PEF she supported cross portfolio projects aimed at delivering cost synergies. She also worked on results measurement with the portfolio charities.
Prior to this, Aliyyah worked in the utilities industry, with a focus on debt collection and debt sale. She has also worked on an IT-led transformation for an insurance broker and spent time in the Gulf working on revenue management for an airline. In addition to case work, Aliyyah plays an active role in Bain Cares where she organizes CV clinics at a local refugee & new migrant centre.
Prior to joining Bain, Aliyyah volunteered with the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance in Syria. She continues to be involved in voluntary work with the Aga Khan Development Network, and sits on the Ismaili Tariqah Religious and Education Board for the UK with particular focus on youth programmes. In addition, Aliyyah is a Non Executive Director for Askham Care Homes.
