Suleman Amad is an independent consultant working in Criminal Justice. A graduate in Criminology and Security Studies from Birmingham City University, Suleman has worked extensively in the Youth Justice field with many different organisations including Clinks and The Howard League for Penal Reform.
Suleman has a personal experience of the Youth Justice System and has worked to highlight and discuss issues faced by young people in the Criminal Justice system especially from a BAME background.
Working alongside many different organisations including the Guardian, BBC, Channel 4 and also presented a young peoples manifesto at the Labour and Liberal Democrat party conferences. Suleman has also published guides and reports for probation practitioners working with young people.
